I can't say I'm pro revenge but not seeking revenge shouldn't be the same as not seeking justice. And the fact is, when you screw up that bad as a kjng, you die. Because if you as the rebel don't kill the king, you lose and you and everyone you love dies. The moment FL told her brother to stop, realistically, is the moment the king should have rounded them all up and executed them.
I don't understand the Japanese insistence that mercy or justice without revenge can only be shown through weakness, pushoverness, and surrender.
