- Her higher ups were having trouble catching the thief, making them seem incompetent at their jobs. So they pushed the investigation on the ruby order (whom they look down on) so that if the ruby order fails in catching the thief, the ruby order will take the blame
- at the start of the story, the male lead isnt sure if she actually knows his identity, but it's later revealed he already had a strong suspicion she did. He probably just wanted to watch what she did next
Can someone help me. Im at chapter 10, i i read chapter 1 over again and it still the impression i got over it. Did the thief investigation went to the ruby order because she knew the duke's identity because of the encounter at chapter 1?? Or that's a separate thing, the ruby order got to handle the thief case randomly??
Its so confusing to me because the duke insists to be part of the investigation and its not clear to me whether he knows that his identity is already revealed.
