I refuse to believe that he did it for a sense of justice and the purity of his heart; he did it because he wants him and is obsessed with having him. The fact that MC had a personal agenda to stay with ML to kill him was secondary. ML could have been treating the MC like the most precious thing in the world, he would have acted the same way.

And this I totally agree with that, and this is why I don't like the whole image of this hero character, when he isn't that deep, he is simply written as an instrument for the plot to move forward. His only advantage is being better than a killer psychopath? I am sorry I can't help but study his character on its own, and I don't like what I see. Anyway, it's just that it's typically the type of character that pisses me off ahaha. Thanks for letting me rant ;)!
