I’m not disagreeing with everyone here, but Jaekyung had always somewhat been the observant type. Now that he’s realized he has feelings for Dan, he’s not only paying even more attention, but the angle at which he observes Dan has slightly changed. Also he was an asshole for selfish and survival reasons. Now that he’s acknowledged his feelings for Dan and had his career put on pause, he’s broadened his focus from simply winning to Dan’s physical and emotional state, winning and what else life has to offer.
On the other hand, I hope Dan doesn’t trust him too easily because it’s clear that he still has feelings for Jaekyung. Less now, but they’re still there.
Make him grovel, stress, get jealous, etc. Don’t let it be easy Doc Dan!!
