They met when both were still so young, so small, but Arthur has a perfectly mentally functional adult-working mind, and yet the girl is his love interest, like excuse me? I do not care about the circumstances, but that was just CRIMINALLY wrong (╬￣皿￣)
honestly, i wouldn't have mind it if the love pairing started when they are a bit older, like maybe in their 20s. At least by then, Tess is actually legal (even tho it's still a bit icky).
I get it, girls that age do have crushes but I would've appreciated it more if they made Arthur indifferent and even blind to girls' affection rather than him caring about it. They could've focused more on building Arthur's friendship with his peers, girls and guys alike. And the excuse that he's "hormonal because of his body so he can't help it" just doesn't fly with me. He's still a 50-yr old guy stringing along a kid.
I still would have mind tho loll, but yeah agree with the rest. If the romance thing was just there to act as a means of motivation booster ( I happened to drop the novel where the academy was attacked, and somehow Tess was in danger, and then Arthur came like her knight in shining armor) that was really unnecessary.
He was a King before and I guess he was that good kind of a King which means the "responsibility and want to protect his people" sense would be his second nature by default and THAT would be enough of a booster and would be so hella better than this wrong sexual attraction between a legit kid and a mentally elderly kid.
This still would be lit without the romance thing to be honest and so I just can't fathom the necessity of putting it into the plot (￣へ￣）
Bruh i think i’m around the chapter you are saying, and yeah, i’m so close to dropping it as well because not only do i hate this forced pedo love line, i hate damsels in distress, and Tess has been it for quite a while now.

It's just a matter of preference coz I see many still liking this so far but yeah, not me. The reason of dislike is exactly those.
That's what I hate about having children mc it's hard to find an accurate depiction of being a child. Although mc is a pass but the children around them should act according to their age.
I stopped reading this to let it marinate and from what I remembered the sister was a good representation of what being a little sister is. Bratty and clingy to his older brother she haven't seen.
So far I only found one manga where the children are actually children it was a breath of fresh air. (⌒▽⌒)
And the romance yeah authors could have waited and focus on action and world building. It's hard to find romance that doesn't feel force.
But anyways I'm complaining to a wall since the comeback here is that it's fantasy. I'm getting old I'm starting to get picky and get bored. Children MC's used to be my drugs. ಥ‿ಥ
Been reading TBATE lately (currently on ch 126). Am i the only one who feels like Arthur and Tess' relationship feel forced? like author just had to have a love pairing just because. It doesn't make sense. They're 12, and one of the party is actually in his 50s. It's icky.
Anyway, that's my only gripe with this manhwa so far. It just always takes me out and makes me uncomfy. Apart from that, the story is good tho it was slowwww at first.
