Why even include Hyesung's past conflicts here

It's not the fact that they've settled it that angers me. It's the fact on how fargo did it. Like it was so trivial which is actually not if we look at it in Hyesung's perspective. The author made light of Hyesung's past and instead of making character developments, they made it as a joke. This story became a joke to me the moment the author did it. They made light on how hyesung didn't want anything to do with his mother at all and how dojin just ignored that by saying "they look alike" tf? And yes, I will never get over it because no matter how people say that this is a new story, and that we should move on, why even include Hyesung's past here just so they could create conflict and make the main characters kiss? Like, were there no more options or no more ideas on how to make them kiss? I am fully aware that they are fictional but are my feelings as a reader from day 1 invalid? Like, can't I get attach to a character especially since you made their personality, characteristics, thought process close to reality? People shouldn't be invalidating a readers reaction just because it is "fiction". Some people love idols or celebrities and get hurt when they do or when they die when they're not even related or something. We also get annoyed or sad when a character dies from a movie we watched or drama. Isn't this the same? Lastly, since my frustrations are gone by now because I already expressed it, I must say that this wasn't written well.
