Honestly some people's personality are just like that JK lived a hard life and considering he's never opened up to anyone on a deep level it's pretty amazing he is for Dan I'd cut him some slack he reminds me of my mom

Tbh I feel like even now it’s strange to watch them have a “romantic date” when JK was straight up still yelling and scaring Dan 30% of the time even post redemption in the last few chapters. We ought to get a full 180 before even touching on this cute fluffy stuff
