you'll learn as the plot develops, the revenge aspect is literally the biggest spoiler of the story and the entire reason they get married in the first place.
(I read the novel) I've specifically been avoiding giving spoilers for the reason because I personally believe the build up that the story tells readers of the plot twist is more impactful from actually reading the entire story instead of just learning the reason right at the start. If other people wanna spoil it they can but I think it ruins the story telling by doing that. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
