Apparently not, i just scanned through the novel, Ain is a servant that was raised to replace Ian thats why he wants revenge on his family by taking blondie away. Ian however is endgame, Ain is not endgame

Read the novel dont just skim it, the characters identity will make more sense when you have the full stories context. The character building is more complicated and important in this story then you might think.
