I read somewhere she didn't mean for him to turn out that way...but all wishes have a catch as we saw with Seraphina for example. Also read a comment from one person that said that it's fine he might be an undead but apparently he has free will and is still handsome lol. Take it all with a grain of salt though I haven't actually read the novel yet
