even if they werent partners in a romantic relationship they were very involved with each other to the point it became an ambiguous relationship — acknowledged by both of them. regardless, heewon's trauma should not be overlooked just because we are reading from wookyung's perspective.
everyone keeps painting heewon as an asshole when he's also very traumatised after going through what they did. he has every right to be frustrated at wookyung; it's very traumatising to have a self-sabotaging partner who doesn't listen to you, especially to the extent wookyung has gone. i honestly don't know how their relationship is going to recover (i know it will caus yaoi lmfao).
