Ok I have like 10 chapters until the end of the story to read but I'm so upset at all the insults I have read (mostly on other sites) about Hana, so I feel the need to express my opinion as well!! I'm not one to blindly defend all female leads just because they're the female leads, I actually disliked a lot of FLs before for being unreasonable. BUT. The most "wrong" Hana did was getting manipulated by literally all the male leads in this manhwa: yes, Lux included!! I saw a lot of people forgetting about how he initially wanted to use her and ruin her to get his strength back (not telling her the truth about her soul getting corrupted even after he actually fell for her), about how he also raped her multiple times in the beginning even when he didn't need to (out of jealousy, not because he needed strength), about how before she started being 'obedient' because she fell in love he resorted to methods of manipulation like that one time he gave her the silent treatment knowing fully well that she would have no choice but to come and beg him to fuck her due to their contract. Hana actually took responsibility for all her mistakes and EVEN THE ONES SHE DIDN'T MAKE! Like telling Lux that she made a 'mistake' with Caligo when he full on SA'ed her without any choice, or not specifying that the only reason she kissed that one guy was because HE kissed HER out of nowhere, or how he didn't tell him that the only reason she made Pass believe that Caligo was her contractor was to PROTECT HIM!! She wasn't given any credit for that and it wasn't recognized how none of those initial encounters she had with the male leads other than Lux wasn't consensual (thank God he at least didn't blame her when she was basically blackmailed into sleeping with Caligo to save him). How is that being easy, like I saw people claim? As for her leaving Lux: THAT WAS 100% LEGITIMATE WTF!! He LIED to her until the end about something as important as her being forgotten by everyone she knows and loves, included her own MOM, without having any choice but to be bound to him for eternity. He never gave her the choice, even when he claimed to love her so much!! Yeah yeah, he has trauma... idgaf, he still bound her to himself without a chance to refuse, and she had nothing to do with his past betrayal. If she didn't find out about that through Pass in advance she would have been even more confused and devastated. She had NOTHING to do with him giving up his remaining power and freedom and being imprisoned, it was his choice to repent for HIS OWN mistakes! All she did was break up with someone who lied to her about something so important, which I would never blame her for. Y'all can't JUST see Lux as an innocent puppy just because he recently started acting cute, come on! From the comments/spoilers I read before starting the story I expected her to actually betray him and knowingly send him to be imprisoned/tortured or something, so I was so confused when I found out that she did nothing like that. The only thing you could fault her for is being stupid and going TWICE to Caligo (fair, that really was stupid), but she was DESPERATE! The first time it was to save the dying Lux as he was the only demon she knew who could possibly want to help her (even though with a price to pay), while the second time she literally had NO choice but to go to him (thanks also to Lux for corrupting her soul :D) as the only ones who remembered her were Pass and Caligo: she obviously first went to Pass, the one of the two she trusted, but he broke that trust by ALSO SA'ing her and left her even more broken than before. Caligo was literally the only choice she had left. SHE ASKED FOR NONE OF WHAT HAPPENED NEXT! More than being stupid, she was just constantly manipulated and abused left and right. She didn't cheat, she was raped/sa'ed, and she most definitely DIDN'T betray Lux, HE betrayed HER!
Phew, that was liberating, I feel better now lmao. Am I reading too much into a story that is 98% mindless smut? ABSOLUTELY. But I had to get this off my chest, thanks for reading and please do share your opinion if you'd like
