This chapter was ...perfect. Like you said, it was funny, romantic with, as always, some painful sparkles proper to them.
I missed this Brett, laughing, chill, and teasing. Hayden doing absolutely no effort dressing up, says he didn't plan a thing, yet when Brett asks him what next after the lunch, Hayden rushes to check his phone and find something haha (even if it was something to annoy Brett)
All the lunch dialogue (monologue?) was interesting. Brett said surprisingly he didn't feel much regrets after stopping, and isn't even watching the matches that much, yet he's somehow regretful when other memories come and he wonders if the regret is from the failure or something else (just say it)
The last panels were so beautiful, especially with the couple kissing on the screen ...

So true i m like yess this is what I waited for in season 3 , honestly yes Hayden is trapped but he was trapped the day he has bonded on brett even after 2 years of gap can't make him stop thinking about brett, Hayden fighting between his instincts and emotions at the same with brett, his instincts tells him not to dance at the rhythm of brett but he always end up dancing on it not that I mind Hayden is actually cute at his own level this whole date was simplist considering how fabulous they could have it yet what mattered at the end they ended up enjoying it
The date isn't over, right? He said it'll be until dinner?
I don't want this moment to end yet (even though the chapter ending was beautiful enough)
Hayden is all walls and boundaries, yet Brett always finds ways to shatter that. Hayden tried to distance himself, yet he played basketball, accepted the brocolis (that was really funny) and even blushed when Brett lay his head... Hayden must be terrified to open his heart again to him
Might not be end of date yet they still need intimate time together unlike that public toilet sex , Hayden will slowly put his guard down he is trying to trust brett but it's hard for him yet hops they overcome last thingx and get together already
And we can finally get a kiss, please? Not a single one since the season started (for understandable reasons...)
Oh my god I love this chapter so much Hayden trying to make date worst as much as possible but it turned into a comedic and romantic for brett just like how he chooses bland salad for lunch and subway to make it worst for brett by they ended up huggung each other at the end bland romantic movie turn into a romantic scene between them i m genuinely happy author finally give my finest Alphas the most simple yet beautiful romantic date.
