Just my opinion

Honestly, both plotlines and love arcs are written really well, the issue is that they both take place in the same story :/ I feel like the love triangle takes away from narrative because it doesn't feel like the author is committing to either male lead. If these were 2 separate books, I would have been obsessed with both because they are intriguing storylines. But when placed together, it feels like the MC's ability to choose between the 2 at any second and the stories constant comparison between the male leads reduces the reader's emotional investment. It almost feels like every time there's an obstacle or a male lead messes up, we just switch to the other one and vice versa. I feel like it's hard to build an emotional investment in either relationship because it feels like the author is going to take a complex character with an intriguing character arc and throw them away at any second. This is just my thoughts and opinions. I also honestly love both romances arcs because they offer different perspectives and are distinct from other stereotypical romances, I just wish they had their own individual stories so we could dive deeper into the complexities of these 2 very realistic scenarios (romance seen through the viewpoints of both yearning and regret).

well said.. the author has been shown to be capable of writing like that so maybe and hopefully it’ll change a bit since we’re still in the beginning phase of the actual love triangle
