I mean to be fair yi-yeol was the one who stopped him from committing (though unconventionally), and for someone who's never had any level of emotional support, it makes sense that he'd feel a connection to the one who saved him

Honestly the back story on how they first met and how he deeply fell in love with someone he only had ramyon with for half an hour and continued searching and pursuing him for the last decade is so ridiculous but he’s so unhinged so I wouldn’t put it past him
