It’s actually in the original novel (and from a lot of the comments here). He basically raped him when they were young and i believe even had juyeon gangraped at some point too. The reason he forgot was that he had an accident and well u can pretty much guess where it went from there

I think juyeon must’ve been 15? He was a first year if I remember. And jiwook a couple years older. Jiwook and his friends terrorized him for a year with gang rape and bullying. They eventually took photos/videos and sent it to juyeon’s mother who then had an attack from the shock that left her in the hospital

On one hand i get the revenge. Like go get him gurl that’s ur rapist make him pay, let him have back what he did to u. But on the other, jiwook legit doesn’t remember anything. A clean slate if u will. And of course that doesn’t erase what he did and doesn’t guarantee that he would feel any guilt if he knew, but i think the whole torture thing would’ve made more sense if he actually knew why this was happening to him. The fact that juyeon knew the whole time that he lost his memory about it makes me question if he was ever doing this for revenge or just to satisfy a sadistic side he developed. Because at this point, and i know it’s probably triggering for others to know it, he’s simply torturing an innocent man.
