Oh my god this was so peak it's less romantic and moreso a self-discovery and growth for the both of them, which I absolutely loved, and you can REALLY feel their struggles. I'm in love with it.
I found the "destroying the dear•verse" part kind of cringey? As in, more telenovela drama-esque than the rest of the story, since it's been very grounded so far... but I can look past it. Kirishima needed a more cathartic severance with his avatar, and that was a valid answer to those struggles.
In a way, it's interesting to see how he seems to struggle more with his self image than Honda. It's like he feels the pressure of not being perfect or up to standards, while Honda had already resigned himself to never really getting there.
