And just imagine that it’s usually a female bride with a dress so the male groom usually ducks UNDER HER SKIRT to peel the garter with his teeth and he comes out “victorious”. It’s honestly just voyeurism at its finest. Also I’m pretty sure it’s a tradition because it symbolises a man “deflowering” his bride and removing her “purity” himself.
