Because I think Richard is infertile, in chapter 77 Richards father says "may your love also be as fruitful" so he's hoping they have a baby, and Courtney follows up saying "with how many times we've done it, you'd think I'd be pregnant by now" (or something similar)
And I agree, Richard has came inside Courtney multiple times yet nothing's happened? Coincidence? I think not!
