UGH I've ruminated on this a bit more and it's making me mad!! I really really loved Eunhyeok in season 1! He was such a sweet and gentle character, then he left and we don't have any context about why and how that happened and okay that's fine, honestly i figured there was a lot going on back then and he was 18, old enough to have some sense but hey we've all done dumb things we've regretted at 18 lol So I still had my rose tinted glasses on.
But now that I've sat and thought about it..
WHY was he so nonchalant during their reunion?? He's always been decent at a poker face but not *that* good. Presumably he still has strong feelings for Sooae and they hadn't seen each other in 10 YEARS and have had NO CLOSURE AROUND THIS. So why the hell was he so unbothered?? Maybe it was all an act and he really has developed a good poker face, maybe he didn't care as much in the moment and feelings started sprouting again, I don't know. But what annoys me is he didn't even TRY to talk to her again until it was necessary, and when he did it was like nothing happened?? I just could not see S1 Eunhyeok doing this!! Anyway, I'm still open to his redemption but he needs to GROVEL, i need him to suffer at least a little.. And if Dohwa ends up with Sooae then EVEN BETTER!
