    I don't consider Ikkun as being unfaithful at this point. If he continues, he will be, but I think (hope) he's going to put a stop to it right quick.

    Rape doesn't count as infidelity. It is forced sexual assault without consent.

    That's why I said some form, I know rape doesn't count. But it's like this author almost always has to draw a character being in a sexual situation with someone who isn't the love interest (consensual or not).

    True. But betrayal/infidelity is something else from rape/sexual harassment. But in some places of the world they don't see a difference and so girls who get raped can be stoned to death for infidelity or extramarital affairs.

    Japan's...misogynist culture...I don't think they see a difference either. I rarely see in manga rape shown as horrific and traumatizing and having the victim being supported as a victim and get justice not treated as a slut. Even the victim feels that they allowed this to happen in some way. It's not a healthy mindset for these situations.

    Which might be why this 'infidelity trope' sees no real difference between cheating and being raped. The uke still gets pounded by someone not their seme so they are to 'blame'.
