I read this one years ago, cried about it, loved it. Still do. But never came back to read...

I read this one years ago, cried about it, loved it. Still do. But never came back to read it. Reason being that I want to believe ever so badly that they both got together for real at the end. But it kind of seems too good to be true, too easy. So I wanna ask you guys, do you believe they really ended up together?
