Why do I feel like the translators have forsaken us because there’s a lot of people complaining about how slow the progress in romance has been?

The scanlators are not forsakening us. They put Skip Beat on hold because they chose to catch up on another manga. Please do not make assumptions before getting the facts like finding out who the scanlators of this manga, which is currently Impatient Scans. Go to their page and find the reason. What they said, they have been getting nasty emails and messages about one of the other mangas they have been working on. They chose to catch up on that manga not because of those nasty comments but because they want to show that they do take their work and responsibilities seriously. So Skip Beat is on hold for that reason.

Thank you for letting me know. Although I wasn’t critizing the translators. I was more towards the people who complain how long this has been going on and there’s so little romance progress in their opinion. Sorry for giving the wrong impression.

People somehow didn't understand the focus of the story (which is bothering me greatly to be honest since it was so very painfully obvious after the first 2 chapters).
The story is not focusing on romance, but the progress to overcome the emotional trauma Kyouko recieved from that idiot so she can finally open her heart again to love someone else (aka Tsuruga Ren).
Anyone who didn't understand that has no right to complain, in my opinion.

There are enough shoujo manga out there with quick solutions to finding love. They should read those instead.
