Too Funny

When Hana transformed into "Yukari" - after seeing Takane's tired face, I just cracked up.

Gramps wasn't even hiding his motives, he wanted more relationship progress, I think a lot of fans do as well. I mean the characters are already mostly there emotionally, but now they need to increase their physical relationship as well - which can be difficult to do while still maintaining the wholesomeness of the pairing.

I'm not a big shoujo fan (too many a$$hole guys, too many weepy girls), so I really admire how the author has managed to avoid the usual shoujo manga pitfalls. Maybe because I'm older, I don't feel the need for the characters to rush their relationship, it's interesting to watch them grow and change and deal with different (absurd) drama.

    Hear! Hear!

For a veerryy long time I have found a shoujo I like. I use to read shoujo but I was like 14, I'm 28 now so I get bored reading cheesy and cliche shoujo manga (even yaoi) and this manga is such a breather.

Have you ever tried Skip Beat? That one is also a really great non-cliched shoujo.

It comes highly recommended and I did watch the anime (and it was hilarious, it a little dramatic), but as it's still on-going I'm wary of falling in with no way out...

I did that with Glass Mask (which is fantastic and immortal, lol)

Yep its good, I also follow the manga but the author is draging the pair's relationship far too long its getting boring (how many chapter has it been but their is no fukin progress). Unlike this manga where atleast both of them somehow knew they got feelings for each other but is finding the right time, or wants to confirm it properly in a funny way.

As i remember it was one of my first shoujo manga after trying those clichè mangas which after reading quite a lot it got me bored to death for almost all of them has the same plot. In fact since I started reading manga Skip Beat, Naruto, Bleach, Rave, One Piece, only SB and OP I still followed that have not ended yet.

I actually was a big Bleach fan, then Kubo Tite went crazy, killed a bunch of characters and fucked the main pairing.

Ichigo and Rukia were such a big pairing that they had a damn opera, and suddenly they both marry their stalkers? Yeah, I'm still upset. I'll be upset when I die. If I get last words they'll probably be "fuck Bleach..." and my family will know what I mean because I'm a crazy person and have mentioned it to no otaku people (lol)

LOL! Yeah I hate how Bleach ended, but maybe Kubo did that as a sort of revenge and mock his haters hating but are still following the manga. I remember how many of the readers find Bleach boring and that Kubo is just dragging the manga's plot but they are still following and reading it -_-; Although it was kinda boring after Aizen's saga.

It did feel like an insult to the fans and it was such a cheap way to go. It's not the fans fault if a mangaka's work becomes boring. I didn't stay with it until the end, once the characters started to die, but I felt sorry for my friends who did, cause they deserved a better ending for their fav characters.

That's the scary risk in reading long, on-going manga, sometimes the mangaka gets frustrated and starts to hate their work and decides to destroy things.

But so far Takane to Hana has been really cheerful, I've been spoiled for later chapters (read the Spanish translations) and it's still good, some drama, but Hana is still cute and Takane is still extra. XD
