I ship heejae and jisuh. Mainly because jisuh has clearly turned sun yool down. I would rather have sun yool with his own partner, and being his usual ball of sunshine, rather than always feeling sad that jisuh won’t like him as much as he does heejae. I also don’t really like the dynamic where sun yool steps down because he feels like he is in the way, or he wants to be considerate for jisuh. While they make for a good threesome, I think that relationship is only good for a short term. In the long term, I think that sun yool will be happier off with someone who will be spoiled and spoil him.

Well its not good to assume Jisuh would always like Heejae better. Heejae is manipulating him and hurt him, and he doesn't know that yet. Jisuh is sensible, I really find it hard to believe he'd be attracted to Heejae knowing the stuff he did. Jisuh worked hard tot get out of an abusive relationship and then finds out this guy is not only abusive himself but also sent his abusive ex after him to corner and manipulate him? Idk about you but whatever lust/desire I was feeling before would not just be dried the fuck up but I'd be mad and upset and scared. I wouldn't feel attracted to somebody after learning they did that to me. I think Jisuh has the potential to grow and be a good boyfriend, to Sunyool or anyone, he's just in a bad state and can't trust anyone and it scared up getting to involved/ deep emotional connections with anyone. Having a good friend or bf (like Sunyool) that shows him he's deserving of love and affection and protection and all that would probably help him open up more down the line to be healthier in a relationship.

(Sorry for the long post) Can you point out where you got the impression that heejae sent jisuh’s ex after him? I was under the impression that heejae wasn’t even aware of jisuh’s ex’s existence until jisuh was being stalked. They know next to nothing about each other. I agree that it’s not good to assume that jisuh will always like heejae, but based off of the current plot development, I am comfortable saying that I’m pretty sure those two will end up together. They both have a past, and both are not willing to reveal their history with one another. They are only together through a mutual physical attraction (and possibly developing feelings for one another). I don’t think that heejae is the best guy, but I am looking forward to his character development, because that’s clearly what is happening now. He’s breaking away from his usual patterns and based off of the previous chapters, he wants to take a risk (because apparently life has been a gamble for him) because he realizes he is feeling more for jisuh than he thought he was. Meanwhile, jisuh is feeling more reserved (which he is right to feel, considering his past relationship).

Once jisuh finds out how heejae is, I have no doubt that he will feel hurt, angry, and more, but I personally don’t see him with sunyool (ofc my opinion is open to debate, since there is still more to the story, and who knows, my opinion may change). Because it’s angsty, I have no doubt that before we get a happy ending, we are going to go through a lot more of a roller coaster ride.

There are a lot of unanswered questions, and also a lot that we still need to see before we can even really guess how the story will end. For example, wtf is up with jisuh’s ex? How crucial will he be to the plot/what is his role even? What’s up with heejae’s past?—and because we are given more insight into jisuh and heejae’s past, i assume that these are going to be the two characters that end up together. Currently, we know very little about sunyool, and get less interaction with him and jisuh than we see of jisuh and Heejae. I can’t say I love heejae’s character entirely, but I appreciate the potential a character has for growth. Since we know less about sunyool than the other two characters, I feel less inclined to root for jisuh x sunyool. I can’t imagine Sunyool’s character “moving” jisuh to actually overcome his past, since jisuh is actually pretty independent and seems to want to do his own thing (I’m not sure if my point about this is actually coming across the way I want it to, since there’s more to what I mean when I say this). Ultimately, I can only imagine heejae “moving” jisuh, because he is a manipulative person, and because he is the person he is. In a very short, simplified explanation: I feel that sunyool x jisuh would be a fluff couple, and heejae x jisuh would be a more complex, sweet-love-after-an-angsty-plot couple.

Pretty sure its revealed in one of the chapters that Heejae set up the thing with his ex to basically make Jisuh run into his arms. I mean I read it, don't know where else I would get that idea. If I figure out what chapter it is in I will reply the number.

Also, I wonder if you're really young because thats not a healthy way of viewing relationships...there is only so far people can go before there is no "love after angst" thing. The author is trying pretty hard to portray that Heejae is not mentally well. He has manipulated and lied to another human in order to control and gauge their reactions so that he feels safe and he is aware it is a violation of the other person and is still more than willing/happy to continue his actions. He intentionally hurts people to better control them. That kind of person doesn't just get better and problem solved. He has lived this way his entire life, that isn't something that just changes without a lot of work and therapy. In real life, thats just not realistic. He has been emotionally abusive. I personally do not like relationship dynamics where one manipulates and abuses the other and then is forgiven and they move on. Thats...not realistic, its not healthy, its not romantic. Good angst is like...when people accidentally hurt each other because they're trying to do the right things but don't have all the information but then everything is revealed and the characters begin to heal (like My Starry Sky). Bad angst is a person straight out of an abusive relationship getting manipulated into another abusive relationship by somebody who knows you're been abused and uses your wounds to their advantage. There is no sweet after that.

I mean, if you like unhealthy relationships in fiction but recognize they're unhealthy thats fine. But I hope you know it is not okay if people do that kind of thing to you and that it is not okay to do those kinds of things to others.

Lol. I know how to separate fantasy from reality. I’ve been through my fair share of toxic relationships. I’m not saying at all that if this were reality, what heejae is doing is okay. I think that the person on the receiving end has to determine that for themselves (if this was in fact reality). But because these characters are fictional, and because I can enjoy the plot with the appropriate distance, I feel comfortable being able to say and express the thoughts I have about the whole situation.

As I’ve said before, I look forward to the plot and character development. I agree that heejae is not the most mentally stable seme I’ve come across. But as I’ve said, I can see that he also is breaking away from his usual patterns. I don’t think it’ll be an easy fix. And I don’t think it’ll be an easy relationship. But because it’s a fictional world, I’m hoping for a sweet love at the end. I am hoping that heejae won’t just be a static character.

Speaking from a literary point of view, a story of sunyool x jisuh is (to me) less interesting than a story about heejae x jisuh. Obviously this story is meant to be more than sweetness and fluffiness, hence why I believe that sunyool would not make a good foil to jisuh’s love story. Perhaps if the author decides to give us sunyool’s backstory/last I would be inclined to change my mind about that. Or if the plot takes an Unexpected turn.

Because this is a manhwa, there may not be the best/realistic portrayal of a person overcoming their traumas/manipulative behaviors. But I enjoy seeing characters grow, so I’ll stay with this story until I either get sick of the character or plot, or feel like it’s no longer worth it to see where the story ends. It’s interesting to see how characters are created/behave. There are a lot of things I could say and want to say but for the sake of brevity I’ll leave it at this. I’ll also have to reread this manhwa from the beginning since it’s been a while since I’ve read this.

I found it in chap 32. You’re right, heejae did manipulate jisuh’s ex to “shake things up” as he put it. Rereading it made me frustrated with all the characters. Seeing that the author said that this manhwa will be around 50 chapters, I don’t think we will get too much left, and maybe it’ll end up being rushed (which makes it a little disappointing).

I do hope that heejae is exposed, but I also hope that he redeems his character, and reforms. Currently, my stance stands as “jisuh seems to be curious about this threesome relationship, but I still don’t think that sunyool x jisuh would be a good pairing because jisuh doesn’t think about sunyool the way he thinks about heejae.” Literally, sunyool himself said that he felt he was being left out. I do hope for more of sunyool’s character or at least a side story for him since there’s obviously more to him than what we’ve been given.

You can say that I’m going with the flow of the plot.

I think I'm interested in Jisuh and Sunyool because we've never seen it happen before. We've got tons of stories like the one between Jisuh and Heejae but I have never seen one like the narrative we could get if it went Jisuh/Sunyool so I think it would be really interesting and cool to see because bl manga written by women tends to ignore that gay relationships don't all fit one mold and that gay men aren't all just "tops" or "bottoms". Feminine men can be manly and dominate and emasculate men can be sweet, soft, cute, and submissive. I'd like to see a wider variety of characters and stories so I think thats part of why Im so Jisuh/Sunyool here.

I agree with that. I’d also like to see more seke couples. While I know that there are people who label themselves as strictly a top or a bottom, I’m sad that we don’t see more seke couples/characters. The “puppy seme” doesn’t quite fill the “feminine seme” type, and neither does a cross dressing seme (even a cross dressing seme has a certain air of masculinity that comes across very clearly in a lot of cases). I would be interested in seeing more of sunyool x jisuh if there was more screen time/character depth to sunyool. I think I just want to see more of sunyool of all the characters, I like sunyool best, but for the sake of the plot, I’d rather see heejae x jisuh, because at this point a sunyool x jisuh relationship would just seem (even more) rushed for the next ~20 chapters.
