I don't think he did the king went missing remember they had spies there to find him but couldn't, at least I thinks so, may have to reread to be sure but, I thought she got that memory in her head when she bumped in to a guy carrying stuff in the house maybe that is the king in disguise? And she felt something from him unconsciously.
I believe she was like that around all males, it's a ptsd thing and not from that guy being the specific reason for her reaction.
