The thing about medicines is that doctors want to give the best treatment without putting patients at risk of the medicine's side effects. Since he just got his heats it should be irregular, which is why he was given the first set of medication in the first place - those medication IS meant of irregular heats of teenagers. The doctor explained all of this in chapter 2.
However, the doctor hadn't anticipated the trigger of his heat to be Taehan, and realised the extent of how powerful the heats were only after they found them sleeping together, which is when he gave the stronger inhibitors. Medicines aren't that simple you know; if a person has been given a medication that works for most people, but for you it doesn't work or you have a bad reaction to it, doesn't mean it is useless or harmful. It just means that you should change to other medication. Same thing goes for vaccines.
Although I agree with you that the doctor should give him advice about his health, he advised Doyun to seek advice from his mother BECAUSE he isn't an Omega, and he knows he can trust her since she was the one who brought Doyun to the doctor in the first place. And plus, Doyun seems to think he is a quack doctor anyways, so it would be better to learn from someone he trusts more than a doctor he only met as an adult.

rereading my comment made me remeber some stuff I did not mention , do you remeber when dohyun first had sex and fearked out abd that stupid doctor brush the matter telling him that maybe he was addicted to sex , that doctor is very problomatic and unproffetional at his job , off course it just yaoi manga and ai know that but this just give bad image to doctors over all .
Didn't the doctor in the same chapter (Ch. 8) say that he wanted to run some tests too, after he made the sex addiction comment? I get where you're going with this, but it was out of working hours and I figured that since they have a close enough relationship for Doyun to call him "hyung", they might be having a more casual discussion of his condition than in a proper doctor's appointment (Ch. 1).
I think it's more questionable that the doctor is treating someone so close to him. Idk about how Korea works, but I think treating someone close enough to call you "hyung" could impair your clinical judgment about the patient, making it unprofessional. From what I see so far, all of this makes what the doctor does unprofessional, and I agree that it gives doctors a bad image. But it's yaoi right? It doesn't need to tell an accurate picture unless it is medically focused. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I'm the opposite. I prefer male ob/gyn because I find they tend to more gentle. They don't know what it feels like so they are very sensitive. At least in my opinion.
