You are right, he's such a pitiful character and I feel bad for him...
Dead parents and no friends. He lives with his Grandmother but they are so poor that she works all day and night during the week. He's gay and his first love was some perverted teacher who purposely targets students repeatedly.
Like, I don't even know how the author wants me to feel about Chase but right now, he makes me sad.
