I am so triggered by this comment! I cannot listen to anyone justifying Psyche's position because she should have come clean to Madea about being in love with the prince the moment she realized who he was but she hid it from her. Even psyche knew that she was doing a horrible thing by deceiving her friend.
Not her fault?? did she consider the fact that she just lost all three rounds to Madea? i would be fucking humiliated in her position to even show my face to the crowd not to mention, she said YESSS!! no one forced her to, she didnt even look at Madea after dropping this bombshell of a secret on her!
A good friend would be upfront and clear about uncomfortable situations like how Medea was when she heard that bitchface got chosen as a candidate, She was calm, starighforward and propsed that they both do their best, but oh NOooooo.... while FL was out here winning, bitchface was conducting secret rendezvous with the freaking prince!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
What gets me even more annoyed is that Madea won 3/3 rounds, fair and square. If it was me, I would sucker punch both the Prince and bitchface. They both deserve each other! (╬￣皿￣)凸

she couldn't reject the proposal even if she wanted to. she was being manipulated, and if anything the prince uses what happened in the basement against her. this isn't about happily accepting the proposal but for her own survival, we all saw it - the prince literally wants to kill her, so of course she's gonna do what it takes to survive especially when the prince can use many things against her
The thing is a good friend would not wabt her friend to be locked in a freaking basement just in order to get more power herself. Maybe YOU are just selfish person but between letting a friend of mine suffer alone in a basement and not being queen, I would prefer not being queen, especially if that was the only negative aspect of it. Friendship works both ways sure, Psyche could have broken up her relationship with the Prince in order to help Medea but Medea if she knew her circumstances could have also given up or better help her. It honestly annoys me that people are so self centered that they would prefer a person to be queen than the other to be free. It is honestly despicable and selfish. Do I dislike Medea? No, of course not. Do I dislike people that would not tolerate their friends just because they are trying to survive? Definitely. If you have that mind set for your entire life you will be the worst kind friend a person can have.
It's really not psyche's fault tho, as much as I like medea, she's just consumed by her emotions, I wouldn't like her either, if I were in medea's position, but psyche loved the prince, got kissed and proposed in front of a crowd and clearly favored out of all odds, she had to be in ecstasy at that moment and u would have to be a good Samaritan to refuse a once in a life time chance, that anyone would want like that. And, as much as I like Medea, let's look it from the crown prince's perspective, let's suppose he wasn't "evil", now Medea is so clearly not showing any love towards him, and it's not hard to figure out she's only there for the position and glory, from an emotional point of view, who would want to marry that, unless ur a good son who follow his father's every order.
