In all fairness.. I believe that the seme really loves the uke. It's just that his desire to monopolize the seme is very powerful. Right from the start, the seme was already being possessive and wanted to corner the uke to that "deal" .... the more I type the more I see how fucked up it was, but REGARDLESS! I bet the only thing the seme didn't take into a count was the uke turning into an omega.
