Your confusion confuses me bro, it's more normal for at least occasional switching in the real world--exclusive tops or bottoms do exist, but they're not nearly as common as, again, at least occasional switching even if they have a preferred "role." Like, think about it, if you had a dick would you really never want to try "doing" your partner? EVER? My guess would be a big fat "no" and that most would want to at least try it or do it occasionally with their partner--it would probably spice things up a LOT, just sayin' ;p
