- yes, you can say that in nowadays society
- during Heian era 14 y/o bride was nothing special
- Western-style educated ppl should remember Shakespeare's Juliette was 14 but I hardly heard anyone calling Romeo a pedo
- it's also a matter of the art style. Mangaka made Senju a bit overly child-looking for a 14, I think, while the adults were given quite big builds.
And I somehow don't get that shota feeling, even it should be there. Senju grown very mature through hardships.
