The thing is...he isn't evil.
There's no "morals" to be conscious of. He's just eating, and that's that.
Which is, indeed, quite refreshing.
Right, it's just food to him! I meant that for humankind, he's definitely "the bad guy". For once, they don't show us how he only kills people perceived as bad but also victims. He just doesn't care.
At least the monster does not have mysterious mercy and goodness, he's a monster and that's that. Might not be so bad to have a truly evil person with no attenuation circumstances showing up : true anti-hero material here.
