I don't think the author is romanticizing rape, that scene with his former bf is necessary in my opinion. It's not just a "random rape" being put there for nothing. IT'S PART OF THE PLOT. It told us that this manhwa is not just your regular sweet bright story with extra smut sauce in it. Because it's not. It's darker. That part shows us why Suha is like how he is right now and what makes him like that right now. You can clearly tell that Suha, the victim of rape, is hating it. Not like a certain manhwa *coughs* See You again *coughs* (don't ever read that I swear for god's sake) where the bottom head over heels for whoever raped them ugh seriously compare to that. I've read the raws long time ago and yeah if I remember correctly the director himself was half awake (?) XD I can't read Korean but I think he thought that it was all a dream lmao. It's yaoi logic anyways, let's chill.
