I agree that she can do whatever she pleases as Lady Castielo but remember this is set in a different time of life and the culture is different. Estelle is becoming a grown woman, she can't walk around in a nightgown late at night as she did when she was a child. That knight was such an idiot but I believe the other knights wouldn't act like he did. From what we've seen they're respectful and sweet to her. She's coming to realize herself as a woman slowly and I like that.
