dude, in RL people don't scratch each other during sex. If someone ever scratched me, they'd be across the room where I kicked them to. Normal people don't like pain, and are not so out-of-it during sex that they can't control what their fingernails are doing.
The idea is to give your partner pleasure, not pain.
