Yea I was really mad at his dad for telling him those things. He kept on thinking things like oh I can't do this, it's the worst. I think it would have been better if he hadn't tried to act like "the perfect man."
That is so true. But then again, there is no such thing as the perfect man. Relationships take hard work. I think that in the case of the father, he gave up trying and I think that is what he was really telling his son.
Kyoichi isn't a bad person. He grew up not knowing how to love and how to love a partner properly. Listening to the bad advice his dad gave him turned him into the man that he is now. Add that to a homosexual relationship and that ends up being a ticking time bomb. There is a reason for everything. The reason why we laugh, the reason why we cry, they reason why we feel hurt. It is the same with love and the feelings and turmoil that we associate it with. What he needs is someone who is strong enough to love him for who he is and submissive enough to let him be the man that he is.
