Well, yes and no. There IS indeed connection with 07 Ghost, but it's kinda loose, so people who haven't read 07 Ghost can still enjoy this manga just fine, but for us, it's a treat.

Everything was fine until Frau appeared.....I CRIED, YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME
Also, i saw someone said there are some connections from 07ghost w this manga, but this manga sets many, many years after 07ghost ended but who knows ;; but yo, my heart cried for Frau, i hope he's not alone but gosh, bye
