And don't forget that Yuri was/is in love with his sister (i believe she was in reality his first cousin) and this is why they are in a similar situation. Both met at the wedding while being in love with someone they shouldn't be. (in their eyes)
And Yuri first thought that his sisters husband had something going on with Seonwoo.
i think the one good thing yuri has done (but he hasn't even done it right) is get angry about the fact that his noona and seonwoo both will let yuri step all over them. so i think your'e definitely right about that !!
and this is exactly why i really liked their pairing !! they are very similar, just slightly different in the way they react. which i really like !!

I think we have to talk about why Yuri is feeling deep "anger" towards his teacher, Seonwoo.
First, he doesn't get why his teacher is so obsessed with an "insignificant bastard" like Gu Jeong Ho. Note that GJH is not necessarily a bad guy but in Yuri's eyes, he is lol. Second, we see how that makes Seonwoo so fucking miserable. His life totally crashed from a well-respected teacher to someone whose students don't listen and even sexually harasses him. What's worse is that Seonwoo just lets everyone trample him.
Then of course, Yuri is another depressed asshole. He won't think that "Yeah he needs therapy and I'll help him get it so he heals". What he does is to act shit to Seonwoo because somehow, he wants him to also be angry. Maybe he's trying to get Seonwoo to not be so lifeless and regain his self-worth again? We will probably see in the later chapters.
Might sound a bit controversial but I'm really liking this pairing because of the dynamic of their personalities. There is this contrast as to how Yuri and Seonwoo deals with grief. One is very violent, and one easily yields everything. You see how Yuri still openly disrespects his BIL while Seonwoo just accepts everything and remains as a friend. Now, Seonwoo even offers consolation to Yuri [even if he's an a-hole] due to his yielding and gentle nature. I see that this compatibility by being opposites will drive them to have a deeper relationship in the future. Don't misunderstand this as defending Yuri, he is still AN ASSHOLE. Just really wanted to deconstruct why he won't leave Seonwoo alone.
It's a really fucked up and painful way to "be concerned" about someone but this may be the only way for Yuri because he didn't have the best upbringing. Hence, the title, "Form of Sympathy".
