The art is great, but that's it

The rest is not.
There's a reason most of the comments are about how good the art is. It's because the plot, characters and overall structure are a mess.

    I agree, considering there’s barely any room for speech bubbles and character development is rushed. But I think it has room to grow, I think it’s just the introduction period

    My issues with it are more like, a bunch of conveniences that make no sense and aren't comedically acknowledged as an excuse. Behaviours that make no sense in context. The lack of any interesting personality traits. Ripping off specific elements from popular manga without understanding why they worked there or giving them a unique (or at least uncommon) spin.

    There's nothing good I can say about it beyond the (really good) art.

    Maybe, like you said, the author will improve as it goes.
