there was actually a flashback kind of thing in the beginning of cains introduction to the story and i’m pretty sure he knew him from the old korean joseon era so when he saw jooin in the same clothes that was worn back then it reminded him of it. that’s also y cain approached him calling him jooin(master in korean) before knowing his name OR it could’ve also been his name back then too
