Aaaaaa NOT SURE IF I LIKE THIS CHANGE OR NOT

Not that I hate the changes in the manhwa but is kinda too much to be slight change...? And it kinda slightly lacklustre. Idk. I am very conflicted (Novel spoiler ahead)]

Because in the novel literally everyone died and Jinwoo solo-cleared the whole dungeon break on his own. Japanese S-rankers and other hunters aren't mentioned at all because they all dead during the first few days after Yuri failed. That's why Ah-Jin's hunting territory is Japan because there is no hunter left in Japan to deal with dungeon break after this incident. Plus, my imagination pictured the march of the shadow soldiers far more majestic in the novel. Like, they literally marched in BATTALLIONS with the generals in front. Igris little nod to Beru when their respective battalion reached Jinwoo. Y'all, the explicit novel description had me to imagine structured battalion of soldiers marching from each sides heading towards Jinwoo who was waiting for them and then I compare it with how they appear in the manhwa and it kinda feels lacklustre.

Probably hard to draw such majesticness ngl, plus they change the press conference, presumably leaving out Gun Hee's revelation of Japan's plan to lead all South Korean's S-rankers to death back at Jeju. In the novel, THAT revelation caused the world to refuse sending help to Japan, leaving Jinwoo alone as the sole hunter willing to help(cuz he is greedy bastard who thirst for power and more soldiers). However, since they probably omit that public revelation in the manhwa (the scene with Jinwoo and Gun Hee at the press conference made it seems that Gun Hee was agreeing to send Jinwoo to Japan despite his novel counterparts was strongly against it), which I think a necessary change that might have been a concious choice done to avoid irl tension with Japan since manhwa has wider audience scope than novel, it made sense that other countries are still willing to send a few hunters to help, subsequently giving chance for Japan S-rankers to live.

And I think we gonna miss Jinwoo's little comment to Beru, "Your boys really went ham on this, huh?" or something along that line because each battalion has their own signature mark and the ant battalion chowed down on the giants like a competitive eater chowing down on high-calorie fast food.

Still not sure if I like this chapter or nah. It's not bad but it feels very very lacklustre

Also also. Sung Jinwoo is bad at giving names.

it is kinda different. they also havent included how sung jin woo got the nagas in his shadow army battalion. well, i mean it was barely mentioned in the novel, but a little introductory would have been nice for manhwa readers.

I also imagined that each battalion to have been organized like soldiers marching into battle, straight lines and all with each commanding general front and center. When they just slowly popped at the side lines, it was kinda underwhelming but as you said, it must have been difficult to draw and make them all fit in manhwa panels.

Absolutely. I am also divided on this bc the scene in the novel made me scream! And then is this...
The fact that they cuted that scene where they desmask Japan made me kinda angry because it's an important part and then nothing here...

Ugh. I feel this all too much. I was looking to this scene so much. I like the manhwa version, but it feels lacking in a way, like you said. I also agree that it must be really hard to draw but yeah it feels like a bit of a let-down the way it's been handled here.

And like you said, the press conference in the manhwa totally made it look like Gun Hee was agreeing to Jin Woo going to Japan. Which makes no sense when we think about Jin Woo's actions thus far. He isn't the type to await approval prior to acting. He is cunning and greedy, he puts himself and the ones he loves first. But this really made him look a bit "doggy" like. Idk.

I still love the manhwa, but this felt a tad disappointing.

About that naga part, they did include it very briefly in the dungeon raid that Woo Jin Chul observed. But I hate they left out Jima slumping down in disappointment (because Jinwoo help him and he didn't take down the giant on his own like other summons) in last chapter. It gave him personality and his cute moment with Jinwoo too. Aaaa. I kinda hate that I expect something from the adaptation because past experience already taught me that the original source will always be superior to the adaptation.
