I Didn´t understand what he meant by saying: there´s no chance with him

What I understand is that the seme has feelings for the uke but the uke doesnt seem to be interested at all and thats why he says there is no chance as in that the uke will fall in love with him as well. And i dont think the brothers are competing i think think the older one is just trying to help his younger brother with his love life^^ please correct me if im wrong

I also thought that as one of the possibilities but it did not seem to me that it was very clear, but of course, it is only the first chapter. Thanks for answering,I´ll go with that :D
