Guys can be feminine, masculine, or both and it doesn’t change their manhood at all so let’s not forget that. Also, if you want jacked (muscled) up or hairy guys, I truly don’t know what to tell you because it’s common that webtoon artists make their guys very pretty/feminine in the face while maintaining the masculine body areas. You might have better chances at finding what you like outside of webtoons tbh. One of the only stories I really know of that has masculine everything is walk on water, but idk if you’ve already read that or not.
yes, please, tell this to bl authors too because i rarely see two masculine dudes, or two feminine dudes or a feminine top and masculine bottom. that's the problem here. im sick of this heteronomativity bullshit in bl. and i don't think i need to go look somewhere else when the tall guy in this very webtoon actually looks like a man. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
There is no “look like a man”... you’re trying to say masculine, which I’ve already pointed out...so work on rewording that & I mean it’s legit ur choice if u wanna keep reading stories you don’t like bc of how the characters look or if u wanna go look for something you might actually enjoy. The only reason I can’t recommend you much is bc I specifically don’t like overly masculine typed bodies or characters (with an exception of the story being very good). The men are men as they identify as such, trying to say they’re anything otherwise doesn’t look good on your part.
dude, it seems you still doesn't understand the point here. what im talking is about heteronomativity in bl. stereotyped appearance. the fact that there is ALWAYS a masculine and a feminine guys that are put in the role of top and bottom, respectively. im not saying the authors should go bara or something, i just hope they stop stereotyping gay couples like that because that's far from reality. and as a guy myself i feel kinda annoyed by it. a guy, to be a bottom, has to be smaller (his dick too apparently) and cuter than the top. even when they are both muscular guys, most of the time it is like this. it's kinda sad how normalized this idea became.
I understand what you're saying and honestly I agree. Sometimes the heteronormativity in bl is unbelievable that it feels like im reading straight up sl. But I think what the authors / artists intend to do is just to make it obvious for the reader to see who's uke and who's seme, and to make the reader much more comfortable with the dynamic :) As an Asian myself, I doubt some authors even understand heteronormativity (I learned it when I moved to the west) and meant it in a bad way (●'◡'●)ノ
No, I understand completely what you’re saying. If anything you’re not seeing what I’m trying to say. I already stated that bl pushes to make their characters pretty and feminine, especially in terms of the uke. You say that they look like girls when I’m trying to point you into the right choice of wording because the better way of putting it is to say they’re given feminine features as opposed to saying they’re not drawing them as actual men. Also I agree in terms of how they draw the bottom characters, the need to stop trying to make the guys overly feminine and see what they can do in terms of masculinity instead.

i read the first chapter but the character looks too much like a girl for me to like. is the story at least good?? please, someone tell me. im just too tired of this stereotyped appearance. if they can draw one looking like a man, is it this difficult to draw the other one looking like a man too?
