If she dies fulfilling the contract, then, good for her? She gets to return to her old world as she wanted. If she somehow breaks through the contract and continues to live, I hope she is able to fully embrace her new identity as Rea.
At any rate, I don't really care WHAT kind of ending it will be, as long as it's a well-written one.
Dion figured out everything about Roxanna's plan, so he is threatening to scour the Black Forest where Cassis escaped to and bring back his corpse to her.
Roxanna knows his aim is to tie her down and make her "his", in a sense that he wants to use her as a tool for his disposal --- does Dion harbor romantic feelings for her? Maybe, maybe not. BUT. He is confirmed to have some sort of obsession for her. Their family is quite f-ed up in the head after all (an understatement).
In exchange for Dion's silence that Roxanna let Cassis escape, I think she handed herself over to Dion -- making them accomplices of some kind. I think that's what the "alliance" is referring to.
The part where Jeremy and Cassis' sister (the heroine of the novel) are together is just a scene from the novel itself --- it's what should have happened if the plot progressed as per written in the novel, and Cassis wasn't given to Roxanna.
So I guess, assuming that Cassis managed to escape, the heroine will not harbor any violent feelings to massacre the whole Agriche family. So from here on out, the novel should be branching away from the original plotline.
this reminds me a lot of Trash of the Count's family, but with a female lead... i am totally digging the adventure-centered plot, and her personality is similar to Melissa from Beware the Villainess (funny, because the supposed "male protagonist" is as delusional and egoistic as one of the "male leads" from that webtoon)
Honestly, I don't think everyone is being fair to the former fiance. She followed him around acting like an obsessive yandere saying she was the only one he could ever be with. Everyone thinks of it as a red flag when it's men who do it to girls but usually beat up the fiances when it's the girl doing it. Was it wrong of him to go out with others when the engagement was being decided, maybe? But it was only talking most of the time. I don't think cheating is okay but in this situation, I feel like it's a gray area.
Considering the setting, it is legal to have many lovers (it was even mentioned that he will have 7 wives). So don't get me wrong, I have nothing against him in that "cheating" aspect, since it is true that the original Haewon was a psycho (since her step-mom was manipulating her to act like one) when he was having a simultaneous relationship. I also don't blame him for almost killing the original Haewon lmaoo I'd do that too if he were me. So for the others who are fueling their hatred for him and justifying OG Haewon's actions because he was "cheating", I agree with you on the matter. OG Haewon is totally in the wrong, she got what she deserved.
But it's a different story when he started assuming that, "Oh man she's still chasing me all the way here, how obsessed is she with me? I knew the cancellation of the engagement was a scam!" because of a COINCIDENCE. None of her actions prior to being unmasked point to the "she's stalking me" conclusion he has. Is it reasonable that he is just paranoid because of past experience? Yes, and no.
Because the current Haewon is clear how DONE she is with him, many weeks have passed since they last interacted, she is displaying her disinterest even after meeting by chance... and he is STILL convinced that she's a scheming stalker? Without a shred of doubt? He has problem. At this point in the story, even the people outside the Dang family realized wayyyy earlier that she's changed -- or at least, she isn't what the rumors paint her out to be.
So for me, the way ex-fiance is acting right now is really unlikeable and I can see it becoming a pattern for their next encounters. So I'm patiently waiting for the moment he wakes up and realizes she's really no longer obsessed with him. If they get along or at least return to acting like strangers then I'd cut him some slack HAHAHAHHAHA
He thought about it before, he could have surgery and rehabilitation if he sold the lunchbox. I mean, why would you prioritize a game over your real life... but he isn't desperate to get his legs fixed, and it might benefit him in the long run (I mean since he is playing the game to earn profit in the first place) if he finishes the quest. Who knows what kind of crazy reward and achievement he could get?
So I think, he won't sell the lunchbox.

i was getting sick and tired of seeing the 1st prince's mug for several panels... i'm so happy to have my eyes cleansed with the 2nd prince.
i know that the empress is brainwashing her child so she's primarily to blame, but that doesn't excuse how blatantly rude the 1st prince is (he tried to abuse his authority on his first meeting with someone, how 'bout that).
i'm glad the story was able to portray what the 2nd prince had to bear with when he was still powerless, i would be disappointed if he was just painted as someone who was violent just because of the fight for the crown... it's nice that florentia realized that as well.
