i totally wasn't expecting the plot to revolve around fighting monsters ;;
but to be honest, it's not everyday you get an isekai medieval story with female protag which doesn't focus on romance/drama/business/political warfare --- i think i'm gonna stick around ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
personally, i think it's quite entertaining and i like MC's no-nonsense attitude. it's refreshing.
i really like ernon and kasiya's dynamic (or should i say etelle ? <3) more than pairing her with the prince.....
with the prince, their relationship is that of lord-subordinate/boss-employee. kasiya's actions towards the prince are based on loyalty, i really can't imagine it developing into love.
but with ernon, they think of each other as a bit more than their "master-servant" shtick they got going on.... their relationship is progressing into something "special" --- something outside their original roles. kasiya developing feelings that go against her mission and ernon getting fond of her are definitive proofs.
i hope their ship will sail !!! ヾ(☆▽☆)
it seemed like your typical adventure fantasy isekai manga with an OP MC at first, but now i feel like it's very episodic and each short arcs are action-centered
the vibe has switched for sure, but im falling in love with these over the top expressions and beautifully drawn, dynamic fighting scenes!!
it's really off-putting that his siblings are claiming his familiars as their own. however, i'm putting my faith into the story and hope that sooner or later the children will be able to understand the difference :)
it's such a waste to drop it when it seems like a decent read just because a few kids are annoying.
i mean, i can totally understand that he WAS a being that transcended humanity even in his original world (heck, he hasn't even arrived to his former strength yet) -- and establishing a nation by himself (or taking over the world) isn't entirely unrealistic considering his feats....
but everything feels too easy now, there is no real sense of challenge, just a bunch of obstacles that are sure to be won.
i really hope the story expands on the mysteries like contacting the director of the system or perhaps getting in touch with other cross-dimensional beings (like the servants of the death god)
everyone else feels it too, right??? like we can't really figure out the intentions of people who approach arito ----- it feels too real and i love it!
this anxious/exciting feeling when meeting new people.... you can really get that "stranger you just met" vibe from the panels, and it really makes the encounters memorable

no revenge plots, no annoying heroines tagging along, no defeating demon kings, no overthrowing kingdoms......
just a very hungry man and his meals!
