if you don't like the main character not being fine after escaping lifelong abuse then fuck off buddy. there's plenty of other stories with main characters who are confident and happy with life so go read those instead. im not saying you're not allowed to criticize the main character but if you're going to act as if abuse doesn't have an affect on people which can take years on years to get over with proper treatment you're uneducated. not to mention she's not even getting treatment for the abuse, she's just escaping the abusers at best.
