LOL I wasn't even paying attention to that....I mean its just currency in a manga maybe it was random selection or maybe the author didn't want to go with the overused stereotypical currency that nearly all the mangas have╮(￣▽￣)╭ like fr its always them gold coins with the same image on them, it felt like they were copypasting that coin art everytime even tho these manga had diff artists.
i just thought dollar as currency implies the usage of paper money, which wouldn't really make sense in TCF's world setting. They still use gold and silver coins here, both in the illustration and the story, it was just the translation for me ╮(￣▽￣)╭
