there's so many reasons. he's clearly taking advantage of the situation. he knew that the dog has a feelings for him but rejected him and still fucked with him. what kind if logic is that? u don't want to date him bc he is not 'human' and he's a 'dog' but have sex with him? even played a BDSM. instead of clearing things with the dog that he's not interested on making their relationship in another level, what did he do? kissed the redhead? he doesn't even considered both feeling of dog and redhead. he should clear things with doggy bf starting a so called relationship with redhead. he's a problematic mf, if you can't see it.

I wouldn't say he led on the dog. The dog was the one that initiated the sex and having this type of relationship with him to begin with. I do feel bad for red head since he doesn't know this situation and needs things explained before they (if they do) get in a relationship. But he didn't even flirt with red head, red head flirted with him, he just accepted his feelings in those asteroids panels
Say and imply are different.
If you have the tiniest bit of common sense you wouldn't be fuckbuddies with your dog who just turned into human. It's not natural to accept the situation as it is even if the doggy was the one who initiated it. He knows that he's dependant on him and doesn't know much about the world let alone human relationships yet he takes advantage of the situation. He could stop him, he's strong enough to do that and he's clearly not afraid to say what he doesn't like. Yet he just lets him do whatever he wants.
There's something called social hints, knowing him, if red head thought he'd definitely be rejected he wouldn't try to kiss him. You don't directly jump into the kissing part despite being 'only friends'. If you don't outright reject them after being confessed to, also sleep with another dude often and don't tell either of them about it that's called being a jerk. What he did was incredibly irresponsible. What is he even planning to do? Live in the same house as his (former?) fuckbuddy while also being in a relationship with someone else? Kick the doggy out? Redhead is too good for an asshole like him.
The MC is at fault for not putting up a wall between him and his dog but the dog wasn't just born. He was observing everything as a dog it's just now that he was able to communicate his feelings when he turned into a human. I completely why you would hate him but I've seen so much bad MC's that frustrate me even worse that I didn't feel it for this one
