I see no reason for alpha to only have to have one omega since the main reason of omega existance is breeding and alpha want to pregnant them so why noy have more omegas equal more off spring etc .. the whole idea of fated partner is bullshit to me
I see no reason why they should be polygamous. It isn't for everyone and having a shit ton of offspring isn't everything. Also, the thing with fated partners is that, they only really desire each other, that's just how it works in this universe.
Also, your comment kind of sound like what some misogynistic people use against women...like if you were to replace "omega" with "woman" and "alpha" with "man"...
I think you're wrong about the object of the debate
here it's more -science vs social culture- than -science vs women-
Since even when they are bound to their fated partners alphas react to omega pheromones + they can be bound to several omegas while omegas can't, it seems that what sakurakou said is not so silly.
In my opinion, this mysogynistic drama only exists because of the value you accord in men nature vs in women nature.
It is a bit silly because like I said, everyone is different and have different values.
That person said there is "no reason" for them to be monogamous. If that is something they and their partner wants, that should be reason enough.
An alpha in a fated pair can't be bound to anyone else (at least after they have found their fated one), they can only be bound to that person.
Also, I think that person forgets, there are more alphas then there are omegas (who are supposed to be pretty rare). Not every alpha can have a lot of them.
oh yeah I understood your point of view but you misunderstood about something : this post was about biology, not sexual preferences. I just felt like it was unfair to bring the mysogynistic accusation since what said the post is not wrong from a genetical perspective (I mean, concerning real world). I may be wrong but for me there can't be sexism when we talk about biology.
Concerning omegaverse, alpha can be bound to several omegas (ex : Romantic Joutou) but it may be a rule depending on the author.
Besides, "everyone has different values etc" is really an annoying statement, you know. It will make me angry ^^* Seriously, it makes no sense on a science discuss, there are norms.
This rings true, even though women and omegas are not exactly the same, it sounds like the same kind of discrimination (not necessarily in a bad way) and categorizing.
The approach sakurakou suggested does make logical sense to a limited extent, but also shows their lack of empathy. Fictional as these characters may be they are portrayed to have feelings of their own and that kind of setting is not something many would happily go along with.
a lack of empathy?
If some people were hurt, I would agree with this choice of words, but here, the only risk is to anger them just because they heard about an other opinion than the common opinion they chose to embrace.
But, it would be boring and we would never call ourselves in question if they weren't controversial opinions. I would rather see it as useful for public purpose rather than a lack of empathy.
Well... it would be a bit helpful if you wrote in a more direct manner, so I could respond to a specific topic more appropriately, but I'll try to regardless.
Firstly, risk of angering who? The omegas? i don't think out of all the possible emotions anger would be the main one they'd feel, more like sadness, jealousy, a bit of hate for their situation at hand, things most people in polygamous relationships experience, especially if its polygamous only for one party.
And about that public purpose, which i don't quite understand. If you mean it would be useful for their society i beg to disagree. Because since the secondary sex is an inheritable trait, that would make the majority of the next generations omegas be related not just amongst themselves but also to the alphas that are born under those circumstances, drastically limiting the choices in partners for both.
Therefore even in this universe, polygamy might not be a solution, both functionaly and emotionally.
I KNEW IT, I missed the notif of your answer. I'm sorry, the update made me remember our discussion. If you're still on mangago, I will try to clarify it, I don't want to let something so messy in my love story with mangago :
Yes, I expressed myself really badly about the "lack of empathy". I suppose you were just talking about the empathy towards the omegas condition of living while I was extending it to the monogamous people who could have read the original post. I'm used to see people getting angry about the idea of multiple partners. Sorry again, it was easy to guess what you were talking about, but you know, it was exam time and all... ^^
But still, I can't agree with the risk of consanguinity you're talking about for the omegaverse. In a sense we're all related by blood since the beginning, and look how Joffrey Baratheon was an healthy kid xDDD no, I really have some serious reasons that I would like to be destroyed, but time passed since our discussion and you may have forgotten. I will be here if you want to continue, or else see you later maybe ; )

I have feeling that after furuta is defeated cuz u know that rightous always win blah blah , but I feel like after furuta end , human and ghoul can finally work to coexist while they can find cure to ghoul eating human using kanaki antibodies where his body can surpass gholification toxins , or they can make artifical food for ghouls , anyway I have feeling that the story might be coming to an end .
its the final arc so yeah the end is near
Do you think they might continue story with toka and kanaki child like boruto ?
